The former leg-spinner of Pakistan, Saeed Ajmal, believes Pakistan cannot even win a single test match against England. He recently revealed that it will be surprising to see the side winning the series against the Three Lions.
As the team comprises of more youngsters this time, Saeed thinks it will be difficult for the players. He maintained that the experienced officials, such as Younis Khan, Waqar Younis, Misbah ul Haq, and Mushtaq Ahmed can teach a way to youngsters for achieving more.
Saeed Ajmal: I will be surprised if Pakistan wins against England
“Pakistan team consists of young players, the England series will be difficult for them. It does not seem possible for Pakistan to win the series,” Ajmal said.
“It would be a miracle if Pakistan even wins one match. As a Pakistani, I pray that the national team performs well in the series,” he added.
“Younis Khan’s presence in the dressing room will be helpful for the batsmen. Young players will learn a lot from Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Waqar Younis and Mushtaq Ahmed on the tour,” he maintained.
While discussing cricket without an audience, Saeed does not seem in the favour as he has termed the game boring without spectators.
“Cricket without spectators would be like a deaf cricket match. This would make the game boring than ever and even the players wouldn’t like it,” Saeed Ajmal added.
“Behind closed-door rule will work in England but there will be difficulties in countries like Dubai and Pakistan. Authorities should allow a limited number of fans. For example, 1,000 people in a venue with a capacity of 10,000,” he maintained.
