PSL franchises to suffer mega loss due to delay

The postponed PSL due to Corona virus will bring major losses for the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Super League’s six franchises.

High profits were estimated this year as it was the only fifth season. Due to the delay in semi-finals and finals, the board itself and the franchises will have to go through a surplus amount of loss.

According to a report by Cricket Pakistan, “The PSL stakeholders were expected sizable profits this year as the entire tournament was being staged in Pakistan for the first time.”

Being suspended on the day of semi-finals, high revenues are to be lost by PCB and PSL franchises but, the publication has not told the amount yet.
