The second most expensive HBL PSL franchise Lahore Qalandars have denounced to retain Pakistani talented all-rounder from years, Mohammad Hafeez as player of their platinum category and skipper of the franchise for PSL 2020.
Mohammad Hafeez being experienced so far in all over Lahore Qalandars players has been chosen for skipper’s post. Also in 2019, he was the player of platinum category and captain of Lahore Qalandars and now has been retained for both the posts.
The 39 year old has made appearances in eighty six T20 matches, scoring 1908 runs at a strike rate of 116.13 and took 54 wickets in eighty nine matches with economy of 6.59 in T20Is. He has captained Pakistan in T20Is somewhere in between 2012 and 2014 preceding venturing down only days after the teams exit from the gathering phase of the 2014 World T20 in Bangladesh.
Before 2019, Brendon McCullum was the captain of the relevant franchise. Lahore Qalandars lost 18 out 26 games in an awful manner under his captaincy. Lahore Qalandars have decided to went on with Hafeez to gain a momentum and reliable results in games which they haven’t achieved so far in all previous editions.
Azhar, their first captain, was removed from the movement and never played again in spite of the way that he was from the outset held for the 2017 season, before being released.

The HBL PSL draft is to be held in first week of December. The entire PSL 2020 will be staged in Pakistan from February 2020.
