Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) following the ankle injury he sustained in the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
The player was delivering his first over and could only bowl four balls. However, he came back stronger at number ten when SRH needed a batsman. Unluckily, he was grabbed on a golden duck.
As he is not completely fit, his ruling out has forced SRH to choose Jason Holder as an alternate for the rest of the league. Holder, who does not have a great history in IPL, can have a golden chance to prove himself this season. He has scored only 38 runs featuring in the five innings of the eleven matches.
However, it is a big blow to the Orange army on losing a gem like Marsh with perfect all-rounding tricks. Holder, who is an underrated all-rounder, played for the same franchise but has been a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2016. He has also played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.
