MI vs DC Match Analysis and Review:
The Mumbai Indians were the team to beat the IPL 2020 with nine victories in fourteen games. About the fact that they did not regularly click as a team, their bowling attack was on the money. The pair of Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult accounted for 43 wickets this season, with the likes of Rahul Chahar and Krunal Pandya chipping in with wickets in the middle overs as well.
The MI skipper created a flutter when he went out for the toss, missing four games due to a thigh strain, against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last premier league match of his team on Tuesday night, despite being excluded from India’s Australian tour this winter by the National Selectors.
The Delhi Capitals have also done well this season, with 16 points to reflect their efforts. With a strong balance of youth and experience, DC is within touching distance of their first IPL final. Though Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane were in good touch in their previous game, more is anticipated from the trio of Shaw, Iyer and Pant, who have been underwhelming late. The emphasis will be on Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada’s pace bowling pair (currently keeping the Purple Cap with 25 wickets). And while they have a few reservations regarding their middle order, the Delhi Capitals should be confident about a victory on Thursday.
