Karachi Kings played their brilliant knock performing as a whole in all the departments and have declared a well-deserving victory over Peshawar Zalmi in the second match of the league being played at National Stadium, Karachi.
Kings initiate with the bat extraordinarily as they set up a score of 202 for Zalmi on the loss of four wickets. Imad Wasim and Babar Azam played a key role in setting such a target which has become the highest for Kings in PSL. Babar’s 78 off 56 contributed to take lead over 200 and he along with Imad was the only man to reach to the milestone of hitting fifty.
Zalmi having shining star from last PSL, Hassan Ali, who anyhow managed to get four wickets every match was demolished up today as he conceded 52 runs in 4 overs getting two wickets. On the contrary, contradictory Umaid Asif conceded only 23 runs picking up 2 wickets in 4 overs having best catch of his own bowling on the second last ball. Chris Jordan of Kings has also shown his class although his economy has remained a little higher.

Zalmi having the stronger side could not achieve what was wanted. Although, after being inconsistent, Zalmi tried their hard knocking-off boundaries in the dead overs but were not lucky enough as batsmen departed. Livingstone 54 and K. Akmal’s 43 did not help Sammy’s side.
It is to be noted that Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans are to play their first match and third of the league at 8:00 pm on Friday 21st February at Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore.
