Jason Roy, the English batsman, who played as an opening batsman in Pakistan Super League’s fifth edition for Quetta Gladiators, has claimed Nadeem Omar’s statement as incorrect.
Nadeem, the owner of Quetta Gladiators, claimed that Jason Roy, out of aggression, broke at least five bats after getting out in his dressing room.
“Very few people know that Roy broke all his bats, five to be exact in the dressing room in frustration. We arranged new bats for him in Rawalpindi with the help of Ahmed Shehzad,” Omar said during a Youtube video.
Whereas, the batsman has claimed that this statement is not valid. He added that he brought only three or four bats, and all of them were broken due to weather and extra usage in nets.
“That’s not correct. 3 bats broke due to the dry weather and using them in the nets too much. I only took 3 or 4 bats over with me to Pakistan.” replied Jason.
Jason playing for Quetta Gladiators was good, and did all he could. Still, he couldn’t cross the exceptional line, which was expected from him. Quetta ended on the last spot in PSL 5 standings under Sarfaraz Ahmad’s captaincy.
