ECB took COVID-19 test of 20 Pakistani players and 12 officials

The England Cricket Board (ECB) has arranged a COVID-19 test of a 20-men squad of Pakistani players. Despite players, twelve officials were also a part and the bowling coach, Waqar Younis also joint the team for England tour.

Earlier, PCB revealed a 29-men-squad which has been shortened to 20-men-squad because a few players were tested positive.

However, those who were tested negative later will undergo the third round of testing. If they will be COVID-19 negative for the second time, they can join the team later. However, Hafeez and Wahab have the higher chances of joining the team in midways.

“The ECB has arranged for Covid-19 tests to be done for all 20 members of the Pakistan squad today, as well as the 12 officials including Waqar Younis who has joined the squad in England”

However, the players are now in Worcestershire where they will be isolating themselves for fourteen days. After quarantining, cricket training will take place which will be followed by a test match on 30th July.
