The top-rated among foreigners who live in the heart of Pakistanis so called Darren Sammy Khan has quit the captaincy of Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday.
Sammy is now headed over with a new role as he has assigned the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi. The captaincy taken over by him is handed over to pacer Wahab Riaz who will captain the team along with Darren Sammy as the head coach.
In the ongoing fifth season of PSL, Sammy will, however, be often part of the squad but unfortunately, fans will not be seeing him on the field.
Sammy has been the major reason why cricket has revived in Pakistan again as he has given the message of peace to other foreigners through social media showing the real face of Pakistan to the world.
It is to be noted that Darren Sammy has been the first international player to arrive in Pakistan for PSL 2020.
Wahab Riaz is the new captain of Peshawar Zalmi. Meanwhile Darren Sammy will be available as a HeadCoach-cum-Player for franchise now. However that does not mean D Sammy will play every match. His main priority will now be as a HeadCoach of Peshawar Zalmi.?#HBLPSL
