In the recently conducted Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Chris Lynn has failed to impress the crowds. Whatever has been witnessed by the Mumbai Indians (MI) management, the player might be unable to get even a single game in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).
Ashish Nehra and Sanjay Manjekar believe that his unimpressive performance in CPL 2020 might refrain him of getting a chance in MI squad. Also, when the army has Quinton De Kock and Ishan Kishan, they might not need Lynn who failed to play on the spin in the recent T20 league.
However, his performances back in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2020) were worth admiring. He was one of the reasons for Lahore Qalandars to end on the third spot.
Chriss Lynn may miss playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020
“First thing is that just because his CPL has not gone well, it is not necessary that his IPL will also not be good. But had the CPL been good, his confidence would have been high, and he would have got more opportunities,” Nehra told Star Sports.
“We have seen in the IPL as well that when it comes to spin bowling, he has difficulties. Although he tried in the match against TKR by playing a lot of deliveries, still could not score a lot of runs.”
“I feel Chris Lynn may not get a game for the Mumbai Indians because they have Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan in the team.”
The much-awaited extravaganza (IPL), is all set to be kicked off by 19th September. The first match is likely to be played among Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI). With a total of fifty-one matches, the tournament will be playing with a full-fledge at UAE destined venues.
