Dhoni’s leading side, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are likely to travel UAE first to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The tournament is all set to be staged by 19th September but the IPL world still awaits for the formal clearance. After the government’s approval, sides will start departing for UAE as two weeks’ isolation would be required before featuring into practice matches.
The eagerly waiting side, CSK, had already initiated their training camps in March 2020. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 spread paused the scenario moving IPL to another window.
Chennai Super Kings likely to travel UAE before any other team
Earlier, the cash-rich league was all set to start by 29th March. The COVID-19 delays indefinitely paused the league which has now been scheduled for September-November. The luck has shone for BCCI as both, ACC and ICC have selected to cancel their respective mega-tournaments.
