Babar Azam says that Mohammad Rizwan will be preferred as a wicketkeeper over Sarfaraz Ahmed. He believes Rizwan shall be given a chance as he has played with the national squad a several times making progress.
Rizwan, who was tested COVID-19 positive ahead of the first test conducted by PCB, has cleared the rest of the tests and will be flying to England with five more on Friday.
Babar thinks, being a vice-captain with Sarfaraz made him learn many things and the players accompanied by him were joyful. He also mentioned that during his tenure, Sarfaraz led the side to lift the Champions Trophy.

“Mohammad Rizwan has now tested negative for Covid-19. He is coming to England. He has been playing in the team of late so he should get the chance here as well. He remains the first-choice,” Azam told reporters in an online media conference.
“I was the vice-captain with Sarfaraz Ahmed. He led us to the Champions Trophy triumph. I have learned a lot from him. He is a team man and everyone enjoys him being around,” he said.
