Steve Smith achieved the feat of scoring 600 runs in 5 innings for the third time.

Steve Smith has completed his 600 runs in ongoing series of The Ashes 2019. This happened at Old Trafford on the Day four of 4th test against Australia. Smith till now has knocked three magnificent centuries against Australia one of which was 211 runs in the first innings of fourth test.

His brilliant campaign in Ashes 2019 is still ongoing. In the second innings of the fourth test, he couldn’t made a centruy. As, he was unfortunately caught by Ben Stokes on a ball delivered by Jack Leach.

However, Smith haven’t played second and third match of The Ashes 2019. His injury had caused his removal from the squad which was brought about by pacer Jofra Archer.

In the first test of The Ashes 2019, Smith presented 2 centuries which resulted in Australia’s victory. England’s are still fighting for their victory in fourth test.

Smith hasn’t achieved this magnificent feat for the first time. He has scored 600 or more runs two times before as well in the series. Also, he is the fifth Australian cricketer to have this remark. Don Bradman did this twice before.
Mark Taylor was third and Arthur Morris the fourth.

Smith is now the leading run-scoring batsman in the ongoing series. He has total of 671 runs in five innings with average of 134.20. The score includes double hundred, two centuries along with two fifties(total of 9 fifties).
